Workplace safety has been considered in the design of Weckman trailers from the very beginning and is continuously developed based on customer feedback. All Weckman tractor trailers meet the requirements of the EU Machinery Directive (2006/42/EC), ensuring the trailer’s safety.
Several safety-enhancing features have been added to the trailers
- Tipping safety has been verified through a comprehensive third-party testing program.
- The trailer’s weight distribution has been designed and tested so that it does not tip backward when tipping, with the load on the towing eye of an emptying trailer being at least 500N or 3% of the empty trailer’s weight on level ground.
- Steps make it easier to climb onto the trailer, and the anti-slip tape on the drawbar reduces the risk of slipping.
- The locking mechanism on the tailgate/grain hatch prevents the hatch from falling open.
- Large rear lights and powerful brakes on the trailers add to road safety.
- Weckman accessories let you complete the trailer setup of your choice.
