Occupational safety has been taken into account in the design of Weckman trailers from the outset and is continuously developed based on feedback received. All Weckman tractor trailers meet the requirements of the EU standard (Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC), which guarantees the trailer’s safety.
Several safety-enhancing features have been added to the trailers
- Safety during tipping is ensured by a comprehensive third-party testing programme.
- The trailer’s weight distribution is designed and tested so that the trailer does not tip backwards during tipping, with the load on the towing eye of the emptying trailer being at least 500N or 3% of the empty trailer’s weight on a level surface.
- Steps make it easier to climb onto the trailer and anti-slip tape on the drawbar reduces the risk of slipping.
- The tailgate/grain hatch lock prevents the hatch from falling.
- In traffic, safety is enhanced by the trailers’ large rear lights and efficient brakes.
- With Weckman accessories, you can complete your chosen trailer package.
