Fixed Side Panels
In Weckman trailers, the side panel structure ensures tightness even for finer-grained materials. The side panels are manufactured from 3 mm Docol 420 steel. A box-section structure at the top and bottom of the panel ensures shape rigidity and sturdiness. The standard side panel height for fixed-side Weckman grain trailers is 155 cm. The platform volume can be increased with an optional feed extension kit. The upward-opening tailgate, equipped with a grain hatch, operates hydraulically. When closed, the tailgate locks automatically behind the lugs on the corner post, preventing the gate from opening under load pressure. For improved safety, the hydraulic tailgate is equipped with a double lock valve. Carefully considered details add further convenience and safety.
Sturdy Frame, Durable and Spacious Platform
The torsion-resistant frame and platform structure extends the trailer's service life and allows it to withstand heavy loads. The frame and platform runners are made from box-section beams. The frame is immersion-painted, so the paint also coats the inside of the box-section beams, preventing rust. The platform's thick base plate withstands loading and retains its shape thanks to the cross-support structure. The platform is spray-painted. To make unloading easier, the platform has a tapered shape that widens by 50 mm towards the rear, and its smooth inner surface prevents material from sticking. The long drawbar improves the trailer's maneuverability, even when driving with dual wheels. The hydraulic hoses routed inside the drawbar prevent damage caused by the tow arms.
Sturdy Bogie with High Ground Clearance
Weckman trailers feature a symmetrical "creeping bogie" structure, where the center axle sits lower than the hub axles, allowing the trailer to climb over obstacles smoothly while keeping the load stable during transport. Weckman trailers have high ground clearance, as the sturdy bogie structure requires no additional supports. The wheels are equipped with high-quality FAD hubs. The rocker bearing is either a ball bearing (WS130 KG) or a spherical roller bearing (WS180 KG).
