Fixed-side Weckman trailers are designed for grain and feed transport. The durable frame and fixed-side grain trailer bed carries even fine-grained material. With higher sides, the trailer capacity is 16.2–21.4 m³ even with standard sides, and it can be increased with a feed cassette. The conical bed shape, which opens 50 mm toward the rear, is a major advantage when unloading, especially for feed use. Fixed sides

The side structure of Weckman trailers ensures tightness even for finer-grained materials. The sides are manufactured from 3 mm thick Docol 420 steel. The shape rigidity and sturdiness of the sides are ensured by a box structure at the bottom and top of the side. The standard height of the sides on fixed-side Weckman grain trailers is 155 cm. The bed volume can be increased with an optional feed cassette. The hydraulically operated rear gate, equipped with a grain hatch, opens upward. When closed, the rear gate automatically locks behind the brackets located on the corner posts, preventing the gate from opening due to load pressure. For enhanced safety, the hydraulic rear gate is equipped with a double-lock valve. Carefully considered details provide additional convenience and safety.

Sturdy frame, durable and spacious bed

The torsionally rigid frame and bed structure extends the trailer’s service life and enables the trailer to withstand heavy loads. The frame and bed runners are manufactured from tubular beams. The frame is dip-painted, ensuring that the paint also covers the inside of the tubular beam and prevents corrosion. The thick bed floor plate withstands loading and maintains its shape thanks to the transverse support structure. The bed is spray-painted. To facilitate unloading, the bed has a tapered shape, widening 50 mm toward the rear, and the smooth interior surface of the bed prevents material from sticking. The long drawbar improves the trailer’s maneuverability even when driving with dual wheels. The hydraulic hoses running inside the drawbar prevent towing damage caused by tow bars.

Sturdy bogie with high ground clearance

Weckman trailers feature a symmetrical “creeping bogie” structure, where the center axle is lower than the hub axles, allowing the trailer to rise smoothly over obstacles while stabilizing the load during transport. Weckman trailers have high ground clearance because the sturdy bogie structure does not require additional supports. The wheels are equipped with high-quality FAD hubs. The rocker bearing is either a ball bearing (WS130 KG) or a spherical roller bearing (WS180 KG).
